International Agreements & Partnerships

The College of Social Work has established international partnerships with several foreign universities.  These partnerships have provided opportunities for a number of joint initiatives and individual projects that have included the following:

University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus (Trinidad & Tobago):  The partnership with UWI has included student exchanges for internship placements, faculty exchanges, joint service projects, and assistance in program and curriculum development.

University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus (Barbados):  This partnership has included student exchanges with the placement of FSU social work students in field placements in Barbados and joint faculty service projects.

University of KwaZulu-Natal (Durban, South Africa):  As a new partnership, opportunities are being provided for student exchanges in field education and joint faculty research initiatives.

University of Pecs (Pecs, Hungary):  This new partnership has been developed for student and faculty exchanges and joint research projects.  The University of Pecs recently hosted a Fulbright Scholar from the College of Social Work.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (New Delhi, India).  The focus of this partnership will be on faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, and ongoing collaboration on academic programs.
